It’s been around since the 1940’s, but Car Soccer is still a new concept to a lot of race fans. During the 2010 season, Lee USA Speedway will be hosting several events for the extreme motorsport. The events will take place in the infield area where touring divisions and the small blocks supers normally pit.

The Lee USA Speedway offices reported 4 confirmed teams registered for the 2010 Car Soccer season at Lee. However, there s still room for a few more teams. “We may cap the teams at 8, or we may go to 12. We’ll have to see how many more people are interested in competing this season.” Said track promoter Bob Watson.

Car Soccer uses a giant soccer ball that is pushed by cars towards a goal. “This is not a demo derby.” Said extreme motorsports enthusiast Deryl Morley “This is a soccer game with cars. It’s entirely possible to finish a car soccer game with no damage to any cars. It’s not that probable, but it is possible.”

Interested parties may contact the offices at Lee USA Speedway for rules and sign up information.
